Lively centre of the Pusteria Valley
Brunico is the commercial, cultural and educational centre of the Pusteria Valley. It is easy to see: there is always something going on in the alleys, the shops and bars. Right next door, on a small hill, Bruneck Castle sits majestically and watches over the town. Among other things, the castle houses the Messner Mountain Museum Ripa, which is always worth a visit. Other museums await you at the top of Plan de Corones and in the surrounding area.
Time-honoured episcopal town
The fact that Bressanone has played an important role for centuries can be seen at first glance in the main town of the Valle Isarco valley. Historic arcades, large churches, the Hofburg as a former bishop’s residence and a wonderful museum. Around it all, hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. A true gem among the towns of the Alpine region. The Novacella monastery with its baroque church and treasured library is also nearby. Not to forget, Novacella with its vineyards and the rustic wine cellar for tasting is always worth a visit for wine lovers too.
